Ryan Cassata (he/him) is an award-winning singer-songwriter, actor, author, and outspoken transgender activist. A trailblazer in both music and advocacy, Ryan has performed hundreds of shows worldwide and released eight acclaimed albums, including his 2025 LP Greetings from Echo Park. His music blends folk punk, blues, and pop punk, telling powerful stories of identity, resilience, and liberation.

A true force in the industry, Ryan has been featured by Rolling Stone, Billboard, GRAMMY.com, CNN, and The New York Times, and was the first openly trans performer at Vans Warped Tour. His viral music video “Daughter” has over 2.5 million views and 3.5 million Spotify streams.

Offstage, Ryan has spoken at schools, universities, and conferences—including Harvard and the U.S. Capitol—and earned honors like the ASCAP “Sunlight of the Spirit” Award, a Certificate of Congressional Recognition, and the 2023 Marcella Althaus-Reid Award for queering theology. He holds a Master’s in Social Transformation and has been advocating since age 13.
