Queen Méabh
About
Queen Méabh discovered electronic music as a freshman in college, a gateway that led her to artists like Etienne De Crécy, Alan Braxe, DJ Falcon, and Cassius. Drawn to the French touch movement, she began collecting vinyl—starting with EPs from the Crydamour and Roulé record labels alongside her favorite disco 12” singles. When she started DJing in 2024, she had no equipment—only her growing record collection and a deep love for the music.
She began performing at bars throughout Milwaukee, with her first packed dance floor coming on her birthday at The Wiggle Room—a moment that solidified her commitment to sharing the music that shaped her. Soon after, she invested in her first controller, refined her mixing, and expanded her sound. She was booked for the North American Independent Venue Association Conference afterparty at Cactus Club, where she opened for Chicago DJ Jessica Fortune—an experience that marked a turning point in her career.
In 2025, Queen Meabh began producing her own events across Milwaukee with collaborators she met through the local music scene. That same year, she launched her monthly party Out! on National Coming Out Day, creating an alternative queer dance party platform that brings DJs from across the Midwest to the city. Performances in Chicago and Madison have further connected her with regional talent, many of whom she now features in Milwaukee.
Influenced by Larry Levan and French producer Pedro Winter, Queen Meabh honors the roots of house music while infusing her sets with Parisian elegance—blending disco, French touch, and deep house into dance-floor experiences rooted in history, community, and celebration.
